The treatment of basal cell carcinoma in Israel is carried out with great success primarily due to the fact that immediately after testing, the latest medical technologies are introduced into practice.
Basal cell carcinoma (basal cell carcinoma) refers to oncological skin diseases originating in atypical cells in the basal layer of the skin. The disease is characterized by slow growth, which is accompanied by inflammatory infiltration and erosion of nearby tissues. Basal cell carcinoma rarely sends metastases. Basal cell carcinoma mainly occurs in exposed skin exposed to sunlight such as the head, face and neck. The main reason for the development of basal cell carcinoma, according to scientists, is the prolonged exposure to ultraviolet radiation on the skin, therefore, in order to prevent this disease, it is recommended to avoid prolonged exposure to the street during solar activity, you should also use sunscreen.
In most cases, basal cell carcinoma develops in the head and neck, much less often on the back and limbs, but it can also appear on parts of the body that are closed from exposure to sunlight. The main common sign for all types of skin cancer is the development of a painful, long non-healing neoplasm, which can also bleed and become covered with scabs. Often, the development of basal cell carcinoma begins with the appearance of a small convex tubercle, which is covered by small superficial vessels. In patients with dark skin, this type of cancer may be brown or black due to the increased content of melanin. In people with a light skin phenotype, this neoplasm looks like a flesh-colored mole with a transparent and shiny surface. It’s usually flat, scabbed, brown or flesh-colored bleeding neoplasm. Sometimes a basal cell resembles a waxy growth.
Diagnosis of basal cell carcinoma in Israel begins with an examination of the skin. First, a dermatologist visually examines a suspicious neoplasm and checks other areas of the skin for pathologies. Then a skin biopsy is prescribed, during which a small sample of skin is taken from the damaged area, for further histological testing in the laboratory. This procedure at the Herzliya Medical Center will reveal the presence of skin cancer and its type.
The choice of the most effective method for the treatment of basal cell carcinoma depends on the type, location and degree of development of the disease.
In the treatment of basal cell carcinoma in Israel, the percentage of successful cure is about 90%.
Cancer treatment in Israel for patients diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma at the Herzliya Medical Center is carried out by highly qualified doctors specializing in the treatment of skin cancer, using advanced diagnostic and treatment methods.
